This simple collection
aims to show you a curated section of my work in a number of disciplines - motion graphics design, animation, live action film and video, editorial, music and sound design.
The time-based medium is a very straightforward thing, but its presentation within the containment of a ‘reel’ is tricky, which I don’t believe in anymore.
Instead, here is a carefully curated selection of works, with specific information about each project.
I was involved as the studio creative director on all the projects, except where indicated otherwise.
Enjoy,
Can

MANNER - “Red Racket” (Official music video)
Director for the music video for the song “Red Racket,” off of Brooklyn based band MANNER’s debut album “Side Launch“
NIKE BASKETBALL - LEBRON JAMES, ‘PLAY WITH HEART’
- Nike’s global campaign around LeBron James showed the audience his pledge to the game of basketball, and invited them to take the same pledge. The video was distributed through a number of channels, from online to in-store.
I was one of the creative leads on the set for the live action shoot, and also heavily involved during the editorial phase as well.
NIKE BASKETBALL - KOBE BRYANT “ENTER THE ZONE”
- A promotional video that ran on Nikebasketball.com for Kobe’s fifth signature Nike shoe, this video was the inspirational entry point into the larger “Enter The Zone” feature. The ‘tunnel effect’ was designed to convey how Kobe might perceive the world when he is ‘in the Zone.’
AVAYA AURA
- The B2B telecommunications company Avaya’s persistent challenge is to convey very complex technical and structural information about its communication solution systems to its customers in an effective manner.
In this video motion graphics is employed to simplify and make sense out the intricate communications solutions Avaya Aura provides.
I was involved as a hands-on designer at the onset of the project, which then was produced by a larger team of motion graphics designers and 3D artists.
AVAYA FUTURE VISION - BRANCH DEMO
- A ‘future vision’ video that looks ahead at how Avaya technologies could benefit a future retail store scenario. This video laid the foundation for Avaya’s future-forward design language in all its video work from this project forward.
I was the co-director on set for this project as well.
